I plan on a HKS GT2530 BB turbo, since it spools quickly, and I've modest power goals. That will be mated to a HKS exhaust manifold and O2 pipe, and depending on what front bumper I decide on, I might use a HKS Type-S intercooler kit or just a custom Spearco 3-row core.

I use a T3/T04E 60-1 with stage III wheels which comes on at about 4000rpm and continues on till the end of time. I chose this turbo after years of research on this motor in determining what turbo is perfect for dual purpose (street/strip) and I have concluded this is the best to use because a full T04 will cause you to rev too much into the engine's powerband to be enjoyed on the street. Now if you're setting up for Drag-Race only, then a T4 will be sufficient or a T51 with a crap load of nitrous. Now hear this, for all you new ca18 turners, you do not need a T66 or T78 or even a T51 to wake this engine up. THis is not an SR or KA! It is much smaller and loves medium duty turbos because it has the characteristics to fill in the blanks along the way. 1809cc's of badness, I tell you:D .

a norris designs T28/T3 hybrid. it's nothing huge but it gets the job done. 300rwhp is all i am looking for and hopefully i will have it after i put in the 550's ive had sitting around for a while as well as a 1.4mm headgasket at around 1.2ish bar.

I would say with that Hybrid turbo, in order to extract 300whp you will be pushing it right to the end of it's efficiency zone. It's still part T-2 small and I have seen those turbos get blasted after constantly trying to sustain 18 psi of boost! Maybe Norris Designs units are better! What's the cost of one of those turbos U.S.$$$$'s?

How I know this? I owned a T28/T3 hybrid blower and I trashed it twice, though it worked pretty well spiking as much as 22psi.

i use a T3 hybrid, series IV rx7 compressor and housing and early skyline core and turbine/housing, not perfect but enough to make my bluebird faster than any family car should be. the intercooler is off a sigma, virtually identical to a vr4 cooler and three times larger than standard.
