im trying to make around 300 to the wheels on 10 psi what size t3t4 will get me there ... i tried to find the thread with everyones setups in it but i couldnt find it.... a link to that would probly be just fine

theres a few threads on this just on the main page...

50 trim (.63 turbine) is the de facto idel turbo for anywhere from 250-450 whp

300rwhp will take 12-13psi from a normal T3/T4, 50- or 57-trim.

If you want 300 at 10psi, buy a T66 and suffer the lag.

If you want just 300rwhp, use a 50-trim T3/T04E (.63 A/R) and boost at ~12-13psi.

ok well at say 12 or so psi with a 50 trim t3 to4e .63 a/r.... would the 480cc injectors i have laying around be over kill?

oh i plan on using the safc, msd btm, knock alert.. and wide band for tuning

i'm going for -250bhp...which is close to where the stock maf will max out...i think i saw 275 max somewhere around here...

Stock MAF is maxed out around 250hp. If you have an S14, you can 'hack' it. However, since you are tuning with an S-AFC it would be wise to get a Z32 MAF so you can achieve a higher airflow and also the S-AFC will be able to compensate for that MAF.

Yep, SAFC + Z32 MAF + 480cc should be good for 300whp.

...'cept that ignores the timing control, which is absolutely NEEDED for more than ~250rwhp.

Something to consider...an ECU upgrade or MSD BTM is definitely reccomended for more than ~8psi from a T3/T4.

i really appreciate it guys... so a z32 maf is a must need... ok .. ill have to get one of those haha

and the stock rods SHOULD handle 11-12 psi?? (edit.... after rseabrookes post about blowin at 11 psi this really makes me wonder .... do you think his timing wasnt right?

cause with all the blown ka-t's going on with 15+psi it makes me wonder if i should stay under 12 cause thats sort of close... has anyone with a similar seup to what im going to be running had any problems with long term beat the sh1t out of every day use at that amount of boost?

oh yeha i was going through the power poll and it seems the to4s make alot of power with lower boost ... i assume the spool time isnt too good... but i couldnt find any info on spool time on a ka

The T3/T04E that was mentioned above uses the same T04E compressor with a smaller T3 turbine. THe smaller turbine helps it to spool up faster. Youre right, the straight T04E would have more lag.

Orion makes 300whp at 12psi. Sounds like a good goal to aim for. Just tune it well and hope for the best. Detonation is still the primary enemy. I dont know if anyone reached a conlcusion as to why these guys were throwing rods.
