So im brand new to the site and ive had my 1991 240 5speed for like 2months now and
ive needed to put a new transmission in it and i got one from somebody locally and it looks
like the right thing but the driveshaft that came with it doesnt have the right splines to go in the transmission. the transmission has 24 spline and the driveshaft has 22 with the two notches. if anybody could guide me in the right direction of what transmission this is and what driveshaft would match would be awesome.
What transmission??

That trans is from an S14, but they run the same output spline count as an S13 trans. Not sure what you have as Google isn't givjng me anything useful riggt mow.

I figured it out, my problem was i thought since the driveshaft has the two notches in it, i thought that it wouldnt slide into the outputshaft on the transmission, which it didnt until i beat it on with a dead blow hammer. The threads were a little dirty and it wouldnt slide on. But everythings fine now, oh and just a fyi it was marked ta71b#8, i saw a bunch of people asking about that model and its just for the s14 with the ka motor.
