What transmission do i have?

Newb question but i need to know what transmission i have and what transmission i can use for my current set up

I am running a s13 blacktop in my 1995 s14, i didnt do the swap myself, the previous owner did. When buying the car i had little knowledge of swapped 240's. Anyways i am getting alot of noise coming from where the driveshaft meets the butt of the transmission (output bearing?) when the rps are dropping between 3000 to 2000 rpms.

So i am wanting to know if there is any way of knowing what transmission i have in my car? The fellow i bought it from said it was off of a KA but i could be mistaken, and alot of what he said about the car was pretty wishy washy which i found out when i started working on my car myself.

Am i better off just fixing with my current transmission or am i better off just buying a used one?

Buy a used one.

SR and KA transmissions are interchangeable if you swap bell housings. So get what ever your heart desires.

sounds good, found a couple used ka transmission around town that i could take bell housings outof

what is reasonable price for a transmission with between 100xxx to 200xxx km's on. (60xxx to 120xxx miles)

haha wow, the forum was going really slow when I was posting that. So I eventually just closed the browser, and it replied 3 times.

You can find a transmission from 150-300$ used. May have to replace some seals.
