My transaxle # is RE4F04B. Nissan USA couldn't answer this question and the dealership gave me 4 different answers before they told me they don't know. I have an automatic and it leaves 2 tire patches when I burnout. I am trying to find out if it's a helical or viscious LSD, or if it's a LSD at all. I'm assuming it's a LSD because it roasts both tires and not just one. I know that if it's HLSD jacking up the car won't tell me because torque has to be applied to the helical ring to activate the LSD characteristics. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The LSD trans is considerably larger than the non-LSD trans - especially around the area where the axles extend from the assembly. If you can jack the car up enough to get some good pictures, I'm sure we could figure it out.
