What transmission will fit???

Ok guys I am just wondering which transmission's will fit the RB26DETT? I know the transmission from a RB25DET will, but what about a 300ZXTT transmission? BTW it is going in my RHD 95 S14 240SX(RHD conversion will be finished in a week or so and I would like to be able to get started on my engine install).

RB25 transmission is the only one that will work with the 240sx that I know of.

The 300 transmission has an akward shifter location I believe.

RB20 & 25 are the only ones that will fit.

where did you get the parts for the RHD conversion??

The 300SX will bolt up but is much shorter and shifter is completely different as it bolts to the body and floats betwen the bolts and the trans...

There is one That I know of WE did the harness and installation kit. I'm not sure if the problems with the trans have been worked out. But it was drivable and looked to be ok if the trans was good. I can check its progress.. I know most of the motors comming in right now are auto.

Hey BBC99, I thought the title of the thread (your quote) was;

I was just trying to expound the question in the same topic vein, not de-rail it or start a redundant thread elsewhere. A 300ZTT A/T might be a good alternative alongside the RB25 A/T seeing as though the RB25 5spds are a little hard to come by at the moment. I don't believe you specified manual or excluded auto.

But, I don't think all of them had a tcm, I think some models had non computer controlled shifting. I haven't had time this week to confirm/deny that.

I belive the RB25 are, at least the one I have seen. but some models may not be if the from the wagon..
