What transmission do you use for ur RB25?

Well I got a rb26dett transmission... could i use that in a s13? cause my friend used the rb25 on his 26... what trannys are possible to hook up to a 25?

people say its not a good idea to use the 26 trans because you have to eliminate the awd by cuttin the transfer case off and rewelding i. people on nico have definetly used the 26 transmission and there is a company offering an awd s14 as a whole package( you supply car). most guys say they throw the 26 trans away and you supposedly can buy them very cheap in comparison to a 25 trans. i would just sell it and look for a 25 trans.

you can use the rb20-26 and the z32. the rb26 transmission you have to cut off the diff on the side and weld up a plate to cover the hole up. I'm not sure but youmight be able to use the rb26 bellhousing on the z32 transmission and maybe the rear section but as i said not 100% sure on this option. someone correct me if i'm wrong. use the rb26 if you can cut and weld you'll save money imo.
