I want to make a 240sx only tool kit, hahaa, to bring to the track, etc..

for starters I take a BFH (big F'n Hammer) 14mm socket 12mm socket 10mm socket, driver, screwdrivers, pliers, visegrips, and an allen key set.

Beyond that a gerber multilock tool is always usefull

sawzall to a junkyard? man you must be hardcore. I put whatever tools i need for what i am looking for. If i going to go get windows or mirrors i do not need a BFH or the sawzall.

You always need a BFH, hell, just carry one under your seat, that'll help if someone trys to jack your car (I have experience in this, when you're waiting for cops while four toothless rednecks are trying to figure out how to get your away from the gasstation where you left it for three hours while you left to see a couple girls with a friend, getting the jack from the trunk takes too damn long and it's not all that ergonomic).

If I was seriously going to strip parts from a junkyard car, I'd load up with everything I've got: all handtools, socket set, wrenches, hammer(s) including the BFH, flashlight(s), etc, etc...you never know what you're gonna need.

I think the BFH would be a great stress reliever if you just....can't....get....that....part....out.....arrrggg.... BAM BAM BAM BAM! Ahh, better.... hehehe Of course, you could bring one of these too: :flamer

Everything that has already been mentioned... and a cordless f'ing Dremmel! (plus my dremmel accessory kit). These things are the absolute s***! Any part that doesn't easily come off... gets CUT off! PLus you can grind or polish anything you want to. High RPM rotory tools ROCK!!!

Also bring a big fat can of de-rustizer or something like that, crap is bound to be frozen on with inches of FeO2.

a dewalt 18 volt sawzall will do most any job! you need a window, hell cut open the door cut the lift lever pull out window 5 minutes tops. Need a rear end, cut it loose. The guys at my favorite scrap heap just take out an oxy acetelyne torch. you want an engine, they cut off the whole front of the car.Its not like its your car who cares about taking it apart right.

Junkyards by me they remove the parts for you...But you're list looks complete...Don't forget the WD-40 or whatever you use to lube up those bolts and nuts that don't want to come off.

Absolutely!!

The guys that own the yard really love it when I go around polishing their stuff.:D

Just kidding, but you CAN clean off parts when you get home. You'd be surprised how clean you can make an engine bay if you take stuff apart and clean or polish it in your spare time.

I have rebuilt my 240 and there are some key tools. My tool kit has most of what I need and its very basic. It has a regular set of sockets. S screwdriver with multiple heads (both flat and phillips). And Wrenches. I strongly suggest a 10mm everything of every thing youve got. Most nuts in the 240 are 10 mm. I always bring vice grips, needle nose, and a nife. Other than that I really havent needed anything else to take the cars apart. To those people with their saws and cutting torches, I know they are usefull at times but I would like a little peice of the car after you are done with it.
