I am helping a new friend out with taking mods off of his wrecked supercharged G35 in which I unfortunately took part in witnessing. What he wants to do is remove the Brembo's that are currently on and replace them with OEM non-Brembo's for crappy insurance policies.

Here is what he posted

Quote »I desperately want to pull off the brembos. I received permission from the insurance adjuster to remove these if I replace them with 'genuine Infiniti parts'. I have SFLG35's old OEM non-brembo rotors, pads and calipers to put on but I'll need a 2003 - 2005 set of 4 spindles that hold the calipers along with someone with the 'right' tools to swap out the brembo spindle with the non-brembo spindle.[/quote]

Therefore I need to know what tools are needed to remove spindles and calipers.

Shouldn't be any different than doing spindles on another Nissan.

Jack, jackstands, 12/14/15/17/19 mm sockets, breaker bar, extensions, pliers, impact gun, a socket for the front hub nut (not sure of the size), 10/12mm wrench for brakelines, a picklefork and a BFH (big hammer).

Sure i'm forgetting some stuff, and it sounds like a pretty big job.

Are the spindles actually different? I would think the only real difference other than the calipers and rotors would be the dust shield.
