what tool to get ignition off steering collum

something got stuck or someone tried taking my car and now i cant get the key in the ignition. started to take it apart but couldn't figure out how to take the screws or what ever they are out the bottom of the ignition assembly. 1991 240sx s13 thanks

left handed drill bit. takes them right out

not sure if it would be the best idea but i knwo some one used a dremel tool to cut it in the shape of a flat head screw driver and it came out with no problem.

Use a tap and die set. Drill it out a bit, it makes kinda a 'Allan key' shape (hex key). Thats what i did when I replaced my Ign.

i had the same problem my friend fortunately fixed it by using those really small screw drivers that you use to fix glasses with he took it out saved a trip to the lock smith we acutaly had the whole steering collum out at the time(was doing a 5 speed swap was installing the clutch pedal)

You took the steering collum out to do a 5 speed swap? lol

we had to install the clutch pedal (had to drill holes) read on here its 10x easier if you just take the steering collum off
