I just finished my auto-manual transmission swap, and need to fill my ka24e transmission with fluid. I can't figure out what the name or size for the tool I need to unscrew the drain and filler plug. Can anyone help? I have searched online and looked in my FSM, surprisingly everyone leaves this info out.

try the square end of your 1/2 in drive ratchet. better yet use a half inch breaker bar. or you could get the ultra cool half inch square drive socket from the likes of strap-on or ratco...

A more simple method might be to fill it through the shifter as you will not need to use a pump to put the fluid it. Might be less messy as well. If not, the method through the transmission fill hole works.

you still need to drain it though

filling it through the shifter is a good idea though, just unscrew the fill plug and stop when it flows out of it. it is hard to get a bottle of gear oil in there unless you have a fluid pump.

you know a fluid pump is only about 6 bucks at your local parts store.......

for the fill plug use a 17mm open wrench.
