My Stillen exhaust tips seems to be forming a bit of rust on the ends. I'm sure it's from all of the garbage ( also known as magnesium chloride) they put down on the road to get rid of the snow/ice. I wash the car every week but the exhaust tips apparently get the worst of it from all the back spray.

Any idea what to use to clean them / get the rust off without scratching them and making it look worse?

The mainstay of motorcyclists, who are always fighting rust on bright metal, is wadding or billet polish. I think the kind I have at home right now is Mothers, but there are many others. It's kind of a papery wadding impregnated with polish, you tear a bit off from the jar at a time and rub away.

When I worked for the automotive warehouse, I sold TONS of Neverdull. It must really be great.

I bought a can of the NeverDull today from Wallmart. All I can say is this stuff is amazing :bigthumb: It basically erased the rust on the exhaust - I rubbed and the rust just went away. Nothing left but a nice shiny surface now.

Thank you for the advice. This stuff rocks!
