what to use for new turbo cooling lines??

I Had to cut the old hardlines that ran to the stock rb20 turbo and have to make new sections. can i use 5/16''s fuel line (reinforced) and shield it with DEI wrap?? one section comes within about an inch of the exhaust mani, but the DEI is supposed to block about 500 f. I just dont wanna go melting hose ya know.
