So I'm shooting for 310whp and and I hear that the stock KA24DE can take 350 so what are some things I should replace internally to run safer. Like should I upgrade my head gasket, replace my oil or water pump or add ARP head studs? What, any ideas?I have no clue, thanks.

The spleen. That would be the most important.

Just kidding. Leave it stock, boost it.

Get good fuel delivery and a good fuel program, I would recommend Emanage or tuned ECU then a SAFC-II.

Why not go with 275whp? More than enough and way more realistic

The JGS .48 will run out around 300hp so go with the .63

Its basically the setup I have except I run 370cc injector, SR MAF (52FOO) and currently an SAFC-II.

And add a boost controller. I run Greedy Type S and love it.

Good parts

I meant the quality of parts is good, none of the SSAC junk.

Yes I would leave the motor stock.

BTW how many miles on the motor?

You have parts listed for a KA24E, then talk about using a 91 KA24DE.

The SOHC (KA24E) parts won't fit the DOHC (KA24DE).

Allow me to offer up an example:

I just installed a fully built KA into my car. However, the engine I pulled out had been boosted by a T3/T04E 50 trim (.63 A/R exhaust) @ around 8-10psi for roughly 2 years.

This engine was bone stock and running fine when I pulled it...despite having over 200k miles on it!

300whp is a very realistic goal for a stock KA. My theory is... If you can make 300-350whp reliably on a KA, then you will kick some serious *** with a built engine when you go for big power...
