What to pay for 2014 Murano maintenance contract?

I'm just about to buy a 2014 Murano SL. After much haggling, I learn that the maintenance is yet ANOTHER place for them to haggle.

I drive fairly little, short trips for errands (hence 'extreme conditions' HA). I want the minimum service maintenance needed to keep the 3 year, 36,000 warranty valid. On the phone, finance guy said it's $900 for that. (I'm in SF Bay Area)

Can someone enlighten me as to the tricks they use to maximize on maintenance service and what a good price would be to demand?

You can still purchase an extended service contract at a later date. However, if you intend on selling the Murano prior to its bumper to bumper warranty expiring or within 50-60k miles. Don't waste your time on an extended service contract. Just care for you vehicle and maintain it as close to the manufacture's recommended service schedule as possible and you should be in good shape.
