this is my first post on this forum.

I am looking to buy an s13.

I was wondering what to look out for on the s13s (trouble areas)

I do plan on eventually performing an SR swap.

What is a reasonable price to pay for an s13?

BTW i live in cheyenne, WY so if anyone in southern WY or northern CO has an sx for sale id be interested

the timing chain is always a issue on the KAs, be sure to check in to see if that has been replaced, and listen for a sound at cold start up, you will know the sound when you hear it.

Mine's just startin to get that noise now at 169k miles. I won't worry about it though until it becomes major.

Until it becomes major??? Don't let it get to major or your gonna mess up alot more than just the chain, if you have that problem, get it fixed asap!!

Well I keep trying to warn people not to let that timing chain rattle go unfixed for too long. If you're not going to get it fixed, at least remove the plastic pieces in your oil pan so it doesn't end up in the valve train where it can clogged up the oil passages.

my friend paid $1200 to get a new timing chain. watch out.

oh yeah and no one mentioned! lots of 240's lately are having bad cases of rice! it's curable (usually), but it may take some hard work.
