what to look for

I am new to NICO so first off hello. Second I have a few questions: I am going to be buying a '92 or '93 240 in a couple of weeks and am wondering what kind of common problems does the 240 have mechanically and how can I look for it? any advice on things to look out for while buying would be helpful. Next, besides a tune up what is the first "cheap" modification I should look into. I have researched the site before I joined and the cars themselves but haven't spoken with many actual owners. thank you for all your help.:help snake5609

I just bought a 93' 240SX SE just under half a year ago and its been good to me. The only problem i got is in O/D going around 50mph it hesitates if im costing then hit the throttle again. But if your goin for the 5 speed u need not to worry. I would reccomend spending the money to get it checked out by a mechanic for that peace of mind.
