What to look for in a spec v?

Hey guys

So I have decided to buy a Sentra SE-R Spec V. I will be looking at 04-06 models only because I heard they are better built, even though I think the 02s-03s are better looking (front ends). I am looking at fairly low mileage cars, but can you guys give me an idea of what I should look for and test for when I go and look at these cars? Any other useful tips?

HLSD and 6MT the rest is irrelevant

They only came in 6MT and with HLSD.

check the oil level. if its low dont buy it thats a pretty sure sign its an oil burner, SERs and Specs are notorious for that. Other than that just normal stuff youd look for on a used car. if you find an 02 you like check the block and see if it says its a Nissan Re-manufactured block, if its not, make sure you get a damn good warranty on it.

Make sure the recalls have been done. See if you can get the butterfly screws loctited if they haven't already. Be prepared to put a header on it ASAP.
