What to look for in a '04 - '06 350z Roadster?

Could you guys/girls point me to where I can find some info regarding what I have to look for in buying a used 350z Roadster? The wife doesn't to drive the van anymore so it is my task to find her a nice sport car.

You should start by crossing the '04 off your list.

Best to avoid some problems like power window motors and potential transmission problems right off the bat.

If you're looking at an '06 (6MT) make sure to ask about oil consumption with the engine. The RevUp version of the VQ used in that model (among others) has a history of excessive oil consumption.

No it does not..

Also I always felt the transmission problem to be abit overstated.. If it was noticable Nissan has twice no questions asked replaced the 6MT for me in 2 04's even though it was still working fine..

Also if the syncros are too notchy for your taste, its an easy find on a test drive.

Having said that, successive imrpovements to the syncros started happend from model year 2004.5 on and finally ended with the last version of the 05 6MT .
