Guys:

Hi, Im back to NICO.

Briefly, I have gone through an Altima 2.5 with CVT that lasted 188,000 miles that crashed in 2017

Now Im buying my friends 2012 Infiniti G25, 80,000 miles

I wonder what should I look out for? I know it runs on premium gas

Oxygen sensor replacements?
Spark Plugs replacements?
Does this car have 4-wheel steering?
Rear diff fluid change?
Transmission fluid change?
Is it time to replace rear struts?

I wonder how good is the 7-speed auto compared to CVT.

Thanks guys!

Get service records if your friend has it, otherwise see if your local Infiniti dealership can fill you in on any recalls that may be needed. At 80k you should consider rear diff fluid change, serpentine belt, and possibly a brake fluid change if it's dark. You can consult the 2012 Service and Maintenance guide to see if you want more things done. If you don't have that guide they are listed on the right-hand side of this page: https://infinitig37.com/sedan.html

Most Nissan/Infiniti techs say the CVT is trash so I would hope the 7AT is better.

Just a quick update.

After I bought the G25, I changed the spark plugs.

There was a small puddle of engine oil on the passenger side rear spark plug well...

Doing some google search, it is said that my valve cover gaskets leaked.

Not a big problem for 4cyl engines, just pull it off

But for VQ, it requires removing plenum, wires, pretty trivial.
