I'd suggest keeping everything for now until you are finished with the swap. You never know what you may need from it.

Like the others said just keep it, but one thing you will probably need is the collar on the end of the transmission.

Are you serious? You can use the KA transmission on the SR?

you have to swap the SR bellhousing onto the KA transmission guts and rear half.

The dust collar is the piece behind the transmission that covers the end part of the transmission and the driveshaft.I have a 1990 240, so my driveshaft is a little short for the SR transmission. I don't even have my dust collar on because I through it out. I was told that It should be ok without it.

You will know it when you see it. It covers the end of the driveshaft like vangj said. If you use the JDM driveshaft use the SR collar and if you use the US shaft use the KA collar.

yeah the KA collar is very small and thin, the sr one is thicker and also longer. I had an auto before and didn't get that part from my KA so I cut mine apart to get the fit.

Like others said, keep it... i didnt use the dust collar though, no need for it really. I used misc. vacuum lines from the KA, the bracket for the throttle cable, and just little misc. things like that
