I just bought a 2006 Spec-V with 21k ,and I didn't realize the torque steer would be so bad, I've been reading posts pertaining to either a VQ35 swap or turboing the engine alredy in the car, I like the idea of having an n/aalmost 300hp 300tq car weight wise, but what would the differences be in turbo, /n/a, weight ratio

Either way you can run low 13s for about the same price.

Then forget the VQ swap. The torque-steer will be even worse. Get bolt-ons and a good suspension.

I/H/E, motor-mount inserts (will kill the wheel-hop and really help driving dynamics), balance-shaft removal (smoother power delivery), and a good spring/shock setup or coilovers will do the trick. Search for info on what's out there in all of these cases.

Thanks for the advice, I was planning on staying stock for awhile to try and learn how to drive the car better, but since those mods will eliminate pull or close enough, sounds like a winner to me. I already looked at spl coilovers and found a catback ehaust and headers by no. 1, both stainless steel and a short shifter, can't remember by who right now, but was referred so looks good.

i dont think you understand, more power will make torque steer even worse.

hmm... Header first. The stock exhaust manifold has a close coupled catalytic converter. On the earlier cars, it has been known to break up and get re-ingested by the engine on decelleration. (Emissions control.) The car won't sound good with just a header, so you will want an exhaust. (BRM makes a nice exhaust, so does Nismo, so do a bunch of others.) At this point, an intake isn't that much more, but you can skip it. I suggest taking the resonator out of the fenderwell first. It's in front of the driver's side front tire.

For suspension, I suggest going with the Nismo setup. It's non-adjustable, but if you don't know enough about suspension to be playing with it, it's good. Moderate drop and good increase. If you do want to play with it, Koni/GC combo. (The Koni shocks won't bump you a class, but the GC springs will. The Nismo suspension will bump you a class.) If you want more suspension work after that, the front subframe brace from Tanabe is good. It's a 4 point brace and NOT auto-x legal. The Nismo one is good as well and is Auto-X legal. Nismo also makes front and rear sway bars, I believe somebody else makes a set that's cheaper. Auto-X legal mods. The rear bar bumps you up a class though. There's other strut tower braces, which are stronger. comes stock with one and you retain mounting points, so I don't think that's a class bump. GReddy makes a rear tower brace as well, not sure about this one.

Good luck out there.
