I've seen a lot of topics about removing the aiv and the exaust tube, but what about the tubing from under throttle body that loops through the AIV and then back under the throttle body? Plug them? Connect them together where removed from the AIV? What do you do to them? Thanks a lot!!!!I do know at one point in the line it T's off to the air intake....any suggestions...thanks again

I found out from a dealship mechanic that yiu do not cap offf the vacum from the AIV once you remove it. He said doing so would reduce gasmileagea bit. He said keep the loop with the one hose that T's off to the air intake.THat would maintain vacuum to other parts of the engine that require it. He said it would run ok capped... but would run rich.

i dont really know what you mean. as far as i know, the vacuum hose and atomospheric hose both end at the aiv. i just disconnect the hoses at the aiv and plugged the hoses. maybe you mean plugging them somewhere else before they get to aiv. the dealership doesnt really work with older cars very much so i wouldnt listen to them with confidence.
