So the times here i have the majority of my funds collected. As I stated before my engine had the wrist pin scrape the cylinder wall badly. Soon my block will be off to the machine shop for inspection. Whether it'll be bored over or sleeved will soon to be found out. My piston was pretty much ruined from it to so new forged pistons it is. But what compression ratio? Choices choices. Once thats all set and done ill be able to put the majority back together. But What to do with this stock Ca18DE harness and ecu? The turbo's wastegate spring is set for 10psi. So would it be more wise to try and get a ca18det harness and ecu? Run a stock harness at 10spi? Or to chip tune the DE ecu? Some 2cents would be appreciated.

Negative. 240sx s13. engine was an orginal ca18de in silvia s13. I turbocharged it. Im curious what my best options are with this harness and ecu for ca18de...

AAhhh. OK, you should just be able to pick up a DET ecu and be good to go then. Although I would consider Nistune heavily if I were you. And if you stick with the high compression, you'll HAVE to have it. I'm also going to warn you, that from EXPERIENCE, you can run RWD DE compression ratio pistons and boost on pump gasoline. You can make it work, but you can't run much more than 5-7psi, you have to make it SUPER rich under boost, and pull A LOT of timing as the revs increase. It doesn't really end up for making much of a fun car. Now if you have E85 available, I would HIGHLY recommend it! I have a forged copy of a DE piston in my motor and have run as much as 15psi on an S15 SR T28 on E85 without issues and it was FAST! Gas mileage is terrible though. And you HAVE to have a standalone, Nistune, or a way to chip tune/romulator. The ignition timing is completely different on E85.

You could also try and source a really thick metal head gasket to lower the compression a bit.

That's not a good idea. That changes the clearance between the quench pads and the piston and decreases detonation resistance.
