Guys i've had so much on my mind for a while now.. I'm building my 5th and FINAL s14...and it's getting closer and closer to build time on it and i still have alot to figure out. I know i'm using alot of ideas from the vertex s14 build. Taking out the radiator/bumper support and tubing most of that area as they did... 6 point cage inside... everything from the ground up is being re-done.. the whole chassis and any stock parts i keep are being sandblasted inside and out and repainted... and every part going back on the car will be new or like new.. NOW my biggest idea issues are.. WHAT ENGINE SET UP? and BODY KIT OR NO BODY KIT? oh yeah and I'm going back kouki..

First off.. Engine choices.. 1st choice being my number one pick..

1. Chevy 5.3L vortec 295hp 335lb-ft and about 70lbs heavier than the KA. I would run this setup with the 4l60-e auto set up.. it'll have decent power, easy to drive, and something i can run at the strip anytime.. I can get the engine with less than 40,000miles, harness, ecu and transmission for $1,000

2. KA-T.. my engine from my daily with built internals and a t25 sr20 setup.. and just looking around I'm looking at about $2,000

3. SR20det... with a RHD clip so i can convert mine to RHD but thats closer to $3,000

* the Chevy setup will be the most realiable and the most power stock. and has a load of potential esp with a turbo.. you tube it.. but i really miss my turboed 4cyl.. and it gets better gas milage..

THE OTHER PROBLEM IS: A body kit...

I 'm kinda going away from the whole full on drift car style.. ESP if i go with the Chevy setup.. So i was wanting a kit that was more than stock kouki aero.. And i still want to run over fenders front and rear with wide 17's or 18's.. so I'm lost when i comes to actually deciding on a kit.. or can i get away with running over fenders with stock kouki aero? I've never seen it..

ANYWAYS guys.. i'm kinda getting stressed from thinking about it all the time so think with me so i dont have to do it all...

Oh yeah.. this s14 I'm building is a completely stock zenki no motor or transmission.. and my budget max is $5,000.00 to replace everything like new...

Do the 5.3, it's cheap, reliable N/A power, good gas mileage, etc. Do it. Then USDM Kouki front (stock lip) with zenki zide skirts and over fenders. 17/18 stagger, 9.5 up front, 11's out back. Preferably newer mesh, like VS-XX. LOW.

Simple, classy, and badass.
