Well, if everything works out correctly, I should be getting 2k from my grnadmother (not her money, its mine from inheritance, shes just holding on to it) And with that, I will use 1200 of it to buy my car (1992 240sx coupe, auto:( ), and I dont know how much the tax on it is in my area after im done registering it, so lets say another 100. So now were up to 1300 dollars for the car itself. $200 of that will go to oil change, and maybe full tune up, and some other things. So that leaves roughly 500 to play around with, give or take 200 because i might recieve 1800 to start with, but we'll see. Hopefully you all are still with me, o lets say $500 to mess around with, and already ideas are flying around in my head about what to do first. Plans are, at a later date, 5spd swap (summertime, and yes i will have a fairly decent job) 5 lug swap, and to go CA or SR, but thats next year sometime. Well, right now, I am definitely leaning towards some kind of suspension product(s) Such as a sway bar, strut tower bar, rear triangle bar, tein tie rod, tie rod end, something. I dont really want to do any engine upgrades besides intake or exhaust, but everytime i think of that i think that money could go towards engine. Yes I have researched for the past few days and i have a good idea on what to get next, but I would like som of yalls input. Thanks.

underground motorsports is selling a good front and rear sway bar kit right now for 79 shipped i think, you couldnt go wrong with that. After that you could get springs w/ install and maybe a short throw kit. That way you'd have a great handling car that shifts smoothly. The C's shifter is my favorite but i hear the B&M is a little more direct and also a little noisier. Its really up to you, depends on what area you want to work on first ( brakes suspension engine etc etc) that way your handling would be pretty good for when you swap that engine ;)

Before you spend loads of money on coilovers, do you plan to get into competitive road racing or auto-x?

If you just want them to drift, then I would reconsider because of the high cost...

Yeah, lots of ideas in my head, and being the 16 yr old that I am, of course I want to drift, but reality hits me and realizes thats the stupidest possible route. So what I want in the end out of my car, besides the above mentioned, is about 350hp, s13 silvia conversion with some kind of uras body kit, no wing or spoiler (oh yeah i am getting the SE model), nice wheels and what not. But I would kinda like and all around car but would like a nice modified suspension sys. so i can autox from time to time, occasional drag, but an all around street car since I am 16 and dont have *** loads of money. A street car that can take 90% of the cars in my area:) I also realize that at my age i dont need speed, but rather suspension and safety first:)

Since you arent going all out race, look into some of the various spring/strut combos

Eibach, RSR, and Tein all make good springs, and KYB and Koni both make wonderful struts and this stuff is a lot more affordable!

I would seriously spend all $500 on making sure the car runs perfect. When I got my car I needed a new windsheild, new battery, new trunk (rust on the fastback...), tires, belts, all new fluids, new wipers etc

Then I went out and bought a floor jack and stands, car wax, shamis, soap, cleaning supplies, blah blah blah... All that and the stuff above added up to WELL over $500

There is a whole lot of little stuff thats easy to forget mang.. dont go out and buy something big before you're sure that you dont need one of those small annoying things..

Yeah, I left my self 200 for just in case money, but I do have to get a new whindshield, wipers, fix oil leak, maybe fix the hud. There is rust on the hood, and on the lights, and about to quarter sized spots on the roof. Im not worried about the hood since i will eventually get an s13 silvia conversion, but thats a year or too donw the road. We'll see though, I'll post up some pics of the car sometime within 7 days.

also, underground motorsports is selling strut tower bars not sway bars. my suggestion is some lowering springs and new struts unless you are eventually going with coilovers. getting rid of the stock wheel gap is one of the best things ive done. i think it has completely changed the style of my car (along with my front lip spoiler)
