Heyo,

I had my 3.5 SE manual for about 10 months, loved it for the most part, would have been happier if I had originally purchased the Premium package though. Anyhow, I ended up trading the car in, which I pretty much immediately regretted. I was really stressed out from work at the time, I have some ridiculous business job that is ah well to say the least challenging at times, but it’s the best job I can get currently so I don’t want to move to a new employer just yet. Anyhow, so work was crazy, and I had some crazy notion that if I go for a new car that’s a bit more refined than the coupe, then it will be all good. So I traded my coupe in towards an `08 altima 3.5 SL,,, I ended up financing $6,500. not a bad deal since the car invoices for $3,000 more than the coupe I had, but then again, you always lose money when trading in a new vehicle.

So my coupe is long gone and as they say ‘live and learn’, and not take things for granted. So I’m not taking my SL for granted, although I totally miss the coupe’s look/feel, and of course the manual transmission. Think I should splurge for a 2009 a/c and screw up my financing again,, or rather just keep the SL a few years until I get my money’s worth?.?.

thx

Tough decision. Unfortunately, most people will say that you should have thought long and hard before making such a big decision. The true advice for you would be, think long and hard before making another big decision, lol.

It all comes down to what you REALLY want. Since the '09 coupe isn't out yet, you still have sometime to think about if you want to keep the sedan. I would wait, and drive the sedan for a few months, and if you are truly dissatisfied with it, then do some research for financing and what would be the pro's and con's for buying an '09 coupe, and make a well thought out decision, that you KNOW you will be happy with.

Don't buy a car because you are stressed, because a bad decision in your purchase will only add to your stress. Good luck.

Wait until you can afford a G37 or a car of the same tier IMO. Since you already lost quite a bit of money.

Um...well to me, this would be an extremely easy decision. You've already lost money, so why lose more? Yes, cars are great and a lot of fun...but in the end they serve a purpose and the sedan will provide that same function that the coupe would. You made a mistake, yeah. Learn from it...don't make the same mistake AGAIN. It's not like the Altima sedan is a hideous vehicle. They're sweet-looking too!

To me, it's an easy decision to not throw away more of my hard-earned money.

But that's just me.
