Greetings fellow Infiniti nuts! Loooooong ago, I was just Infinitinut, but, now, I must sign in as Infinitinut2! Lots of water under that ol bridge since I last posted anything! LONG POST COMING, BEWARE! Still have the 92 Q and 92 M30 convertible. PROBLEM: Another home in New Mexico (and, to build another, there!) and the "roads" into the 7000 foot property, and the lack of time in South Carolina, mean that the mighty Q spends much of the time under a cover in the garage! This is the Q that Dennis (aka Q45 tech) termed "one of the best examples of an original Q that we have ever seen at T3". He made those comments when I was there in summer of 2000 to have guides, trans cooler, brakes, etc., etc., done by the masters! Car had 85K then and is now at about 123K (I am 2nd owner since 23K). It has had new FP last year, plus plugs (one of the most horrific tasks I have ever undertaken on a vehicle!). I bought all of the under plenum rubber from Joe once when they had a sale on it, and it sits in a bag in the same garage in that I have never detected any smells or leaks under P! Amps all rebuilt by Bose. Michelin 235 Pilots with maybe 25K. Heath (1990 Q) found me a 93 TCU which is installed. Fittipauldi wheels are about the only other non-OEM things on car. Frankly, it is probably one of the finest road cars that I haver ever driven (recent 300 mile trip was done at sustained cruising speeds of betweeen 90-100 mph, and it was remarkable!), and I do get to Germany now and then, and have use of new S Klasse. To my knowledge, everything works, except a couple of lights on the radio pre-set buttons. It would hurt to see the might Q go, that is why I am putting this on this site because, if it does go, I would want it to go to another Infinitinut! BTW, it is pearl over tan (my colour scheme on vehicles!). Thanks folks for listening!

Spacing that out sure makes it a lot easier on the eyes.

So, this means that you are selling your Q45?

If so, posting it here: zeroforum?id=172 will probably yield better results.

If you do decide to sell her, please keep me in mind on the under plenium hoses! Thanks.

John,

It's good to see you here again! Don't know if you were around when I bought my second Q (named "Q2"), but it would look very much like the one you saw when I sold the TCU to you (they're identical).

Q1 had about 204K on her when she was hit a few weeks ago. I'm still negotiating on the settlement, but she's a total loss. Not based on the damage, but just cost to repair vs. book value. I think Dana was with me when we met... she's now my wife and was driving Q1, so I think she'll end up with a G35 if all goes as planned. If you decide to sell, I'll certainly vouch for your Q being a very nice one.

Take care!

Heath

Hi Heath!

Yes, I followed the aftermath of Q 1's demise, after intersection squabble in, I can only assume, Columbia area! (Sadly, SC has reportedly the 3rd highest accident statistics in US, with Charleston Co leading the state! Downright dangerous down here! I guess that is why I like NM so much, damn desolate, and, you can drive as fast as you dare (this past year, on US 180, north of I-10, I was running about 90 in my Burb, and oncoming trooper hit all of his lights, just to "tell" me he knew I was there! No scary brody turns by him, to try and stop me, endangering all road users, just the not so subtle warning to back off a little! I did!)

I recall you, then girl friend, and your mom, meeting me some place on front beach at IOP. Congrats on marriage!

Looked at Edmunds' values on Q and M, after posting and, the vehicles are worth more as boat anchors than cars! Sad! This has only gotten worse, so I carry only liability on them.

Take care in that Columbia traffic, bubba!

if you decide to let the Q go "as is", i'd be interested in the bag of underplenum hoses!
