what to do w/1000 bucks

I have around 1000 bucks lying around and i donno what to do with them i alrdy have Spings, Rims, Intake, CDplayer, and system (The Necessities)and Nismo shift knob. I was saving to get the SR20 but im tinking on getting the Ka-Turboed. let me know what u guys think.

$1400 is possible but it sounds like he is wanting a shop to do the install. most shops are not familiar with turboing KAs especially with a kit that will be parted together (assuming he wants to go the cheapest route) so i think turbo is out of the picture unless he wants to put that $1000 into savings for turbo. i say with $1000 id like to go to a racing/driving school and with the left over money get either a upgraded clutch/flywheel, underdrive pulleys, or aluminum driveshaft. all of those options intrest me

if i knew how to put it together i'd do it my self i try to do mostly everything my self but when it comes to turbos and sh*t like that i donno i wouldn't want to mess around with something like that n ***** up my engine

id save it, and go ka turbo. after i get coilovers thats what im doin.

do you not have struts? sway bars? strut bar? exhaust? cams? if you want to go turbo you cant do it for 1000. sell the intake and system and get some performance. you can buy the turbo and the manifold for 1000.

i don't have a strut bar or sway bars or an exhaust or cams. would i need cams if i get the turbo? if so how much more HP would i get if i put them in?

no you dont need cams. and the amount of horsepower you would get if you did get cams would depend on the lift and duration of the cams.

Cams will give you good hp. Contact Jim Wolf. $550 i think. Id get headers and exhaust if i got cams

i thought about a 300zx brake upgrade before but i spent 200+ dollars on getting brakes cuz they were alrdy rubbing metal to metal. so i think i'll ride them out and then i'll prolly consider a brake upgrade.

What the heck does THAT mean?Um not to be disrespectful, but i dont know if YOU should have a turbo on anything. Do a little more research on the other mods you can do to get used to your KA first. Turbo is not cheap to keep up. You might get a kit together for 1000, but your engine will be trash in a couple months.

I swear. People just jump in and say "i'd like a turbo please" like you can go to McDonalds and order one up. sheesh:rolleyes

yea, i got 2 almost new ones for free and i thought i would just buy 2 more so i would have a set. but holy sh*t they were expensive. I get them at dealer cost cause i work at the dealer. i can get them for $160/each, but thats alot for me because i get most tires for under $50/each.
