so i showed my mechanic the turbo that i want to use but it seems that there are some issues. first off, the turbo is a garret T3 from a T-bird. has a .63 A/R housing and an internal wastegate. turbo is brand new (was refurbished) and has seen no miles since rebuild. we looked at the turbo and the outlet for the hotpipe measures about an inch and a half as well as the outlet for the downpipe. my mechanic is saying that i need to find a downpipe from a T-bird. i think that i should just get a shop to build one for me since i need it to fit up to the car nicely. but back to the turbo, arent those outlet sizes kinda small? makes me want to start thinking about selling that turbo and just gettin one off of cheapturbo.com or some other place. what would yall do?

The downpipe flange for a t bird should be a standard 3 bolt outlet 2.25" (?)- any exhaust shop could make one up for you.....in fact, i order my dp gasket from the parts store as a t bird gasket.... It should be fine for you as far as size goes.
