What to DO???being sent to a referee!!!

Today I got a ticket from as usual, another ******* cop. Him and his buddy sat there asking questions about my modified car (S14 w sr20det, front mount, full cat back, wheels, & 2inch drop) telling me that they knew all about these parts, how they worked, and what kinds of kids like me use them for. He then wrote me a ticket for: modified exhaust vc 2715a and modified emission 27156b.He then physically told me to call the referee with the number on the back of the ticket and schedule an appointment.

My question is this. Even though none of my violations ( 2715a & 27156b) state in the hand book to see this referee and the cop only told me to manke an appointment what should I do? And if I still DO have to see the referee what should I do then? any help would be awesome, as I would hate to have to see this referee, have him point out my sr20det, front mount, etc. and then require me to remove it ALL get to get the car drivable again.

and i dont know how your law works, but there is usually a way around it

I would say, do what the cop told you to do. Most likely you will get fine and you have to put your KA back. Referee might let you go if you have a domestic version of nissan engine with all the smog stuff, but JDM engine is no no for them.

Let me know what the outcome is, I want to know what they say.
