What to do about trunk problem?

hey guys, I am having a problem of not being able to open my trunk from the switch or the key. I have searched of what to do and it said to move the latch to "up" position. This is not really clear to me so here is a picture,and if you could tell me EXACTLY wat to do, that would be greatly appreciated.-Arash

Put your fingers on the tab (in the square hole) and push up and then to the left. What year do you have? Where is the trunk "switch". I've never been able to locate it.

lol...i meant the "switch" next to the driver seat!and i already did it, but was I supposed to make it go to the left also? Cuz i just put it up and it unlocks from the "switch". I think im gonna hit up a locksmith tom. for the trunk key.Thanks

There is a switch next to the seat for the trunk? Where next to the gas door switch? Or does the base model not have that. My lock is also busted and I'm having turn signal issues. So today when I went to check the bulbs I had to crawl into the trunk you push the tab up and then to the left to pop the trunk open.

Yea, i have the SE so i guess the switch comes with that model. That little hole is tight to get thru. My chest was hurtin alot tryin to get thru it! But I'm sort of having the same problem with the lighting. My reverse lights don't seem to work. Tomm. or sometimes this week, i will have to check my bulbs to see if they r fine. I have run thru the gears to see if they light in any other gear but they dont. Idk, maybe a bad sensor on the transmission?

mine is a base model and i have the "switch" for the trunk. its on the same lever for the gas door
