I have a good friend throwing down 426whp on 14psi in an rb25 all through an r180.evildky wrote:you should ahve an R180, they are good to 300 whp without fail, the R200 is just easier to find in a LSD and will take well north of 500 whp, the 87.5-89 300zxt is an ideal donor if you can find one, they come in the long snout housing which bolts into the S30 chassis with the mustache bar and companion flange form a 778 man trans 280Z which came stock with long snout R200 diffs, the Z32 n/a and S13/S14 uses the short snout R200 whch is a bit more involved to swap in, and any viscous swap will need output shafts to match as they are unique to VLSD's
Don't mean to hijack this thread but... how do you tell the difference between the r180 and the r200? Thanks.evildky wrote:you should ahve an R180, they are good to 300 whp without fail, the R200 is just easier to find in a LSD and will take well north of 500 whp, the 87.5-89 300zxt is an ideal donor if you can find one, they come in the long snout housing which bolts into the S30 chassis with the mustache bar and companion flange form a 778 man trans 280Z which came stock with long snout R200 diffs, the Z32 n/a and S13/S14 uses the short snout R200 whch is a bit more involved to swap in, and any viscous swap will need output shafts to match as they are unique to VLSD's
Thanks!evildky wrote:on the left is the R200 and on the right is the r180, also if you look at the sides of the biffs with the output safts, the r180 has bolts that hold in the side bearings, no bolts on the sides of the r200
