I just found out i hsve 2 - 3.5" speakers in my dash. I figured i need to upgrade these along with everything else. well after further investigstion they are wired in with the door speakers. so i am not sure which route to go. should i wire the amp to the stock wiring and power them both up or should i run new wires to the door speakers and let all the power from the factory radio power the new 3.5's.

If i share the door speaker and dash speaker off of one channel of the amp. wouldnt the 3.5 be alot louder?

If i disconnect the door speaker want the watts double to the3.5

Ok whoa whoa whoa there. Looks like you posted in a hurry. Anyways, short answer, the 6.5's and 3.5's are getting the exact same signal. Coming from the power source, it's the exact same thing going to both. The 3.5's play the highs, because thats all they can play with the limited woofer width. A speaker can only go so low in frequency and tone because its limited by the woofer width. thats why subs are the biggest, and 6.5's are mid etc. the 6.5 is replicating the same signal as well, but plays lower because thats how blaupunkt designed it, which is the company that makes the non bose speakers. that way the signal is spread out, like a component set. By using only one speaker, you'll still get the same thing if you disable the 3.5's, because the tweeter in the aftermarket speaker will be using the power the 3.5 previously was. The best thing you can do to improve this setup, and the best thing to do in general for that matter, is to buy a component speaker set. That is, a set that has a seperate woofer and tweeter so you can mount the tweeter independantly, and point the tweeter at yourself for clearer highs. You can even mount the tweeter in the 3.5 mounting with a little fabrication, since the 3.5 is basically acting as a tweeter anyway. Did that help?

I just got my 2008 altima and i was just wondering if anyone could assist me in telling me how to remove the back 6x9's and how to get into the 3.5" in the dash. i know i might sound a little dumb but i just want to do it right the first time and be able to keep everything looking and functioning correctly.

Right now, they're in but not connected. I test a lot of different speakers for the audio shop I get my stuff from, so I've been swappin out a lot of door speakers lately. Theres no need fr the 3.5"s once you get an aftermarket door setup, because the tweeters are taking the place of the 3.5"s. Robert (dr. Feelgood) took his out and put the tweeters from the component setup he has in the 3.5" slots, shoot him an email if ur really interested in it. He's workin hard on the kickplates now so he's not on as much at the moment. He'll know more than me about what you need to fabricate.
