What to do? '90Q Running parts car!

I just acquired a Q from my neighbors, thinking I would park it here and use it for parts. Engine sounds awful, oil is black and thick. Sellers were told it had a spun bearing. Whatever is wrong the engine is wasted.

Has a straight California body, and real decent leather. Radio console trashed. It is maroon/brown with same interior. Totally wrong colors for our car.

I don't really have the time or interest to start selling parts, but I would feel good about getting this interior to someone who could use it, or possibly selling the entire car. Could be a great deal for someone who for whom the colors match.

Open to suggestions.

Id spend $500 and make it run nice..... Especially with nice interior.....

Hell Id buy it for $500, but then again I dont need ANOTHER non running Q... Would be fun though...

Sorry to hear about that interior......the color combination sounds terrible. Well since you have a free Q you cant really lose money. It depends if you want the car or not. I guess in your situation it would matter if you could even get rid of the car.

Wes, Acquired is not synonomous with free! I don't know how you would repair this engine for $500. 50 cans of liquid engine rebuilder from "Pep Boys"? : I'm afraid the patient is terminal.

BTW the interior and exterior colors are very attractive as far as I am concerned, just no use to me 'cause our car is silver/gray.
