I was sent pics of yet another G20 involoved in a rollover , this person was paralized tho as the seat didnt fail , so a G20 is absoultly out of the question , gonna have to sell off all my parts once im back to florida

I dont want another Front drive nissan , this time i want a car that someone would look at and not joke about it being a cheap econobox , safety is paramount here , i dont think the 240 is that safe , unless someone can tell me how well they do in a roll over

so im down to Q45s , leaning very heavy to a 1994 Q45a thats by my house in florida , my dad might go out and look at it this week ,expensive accumuators are worring me alot , but then again to me it would be worth replceing them as i belive this could be a collectors car one day .

anyway , i need some ideas on what else to look for , wanna stay with nissan

im lurking in the 240 section , beware

as tino said, at your "old balls age" (what are you 20,21?) you might as well make a switch to the darkside. find a Q45 to test drive, they are amazing cars. watch out, if your dad gets a hold of that one in Florida he may not give it up when you move back.

this coming from a truckstop attraction that has one of the minlli vannli tiwns as his avatar

i hear ya dude , the 300z would be fun , but im concrend about finind one that hasnt been raped like tino

dont worry i got dads vette held hostage , if a q45 can outwiegh a vintage vette in his book than it has to be a serious car , too bad its a automatic

I think this will be the only vehicle you'll be able to thoroughly enjoy. I know you're skilled with arts de turbo so this should be just right. I must admit I fell in love with Q's this past weekend when I seen Fred's new one, but the Q isn't for me..just too big.

Buy the Q. Have you ever driven one? If you haven't go drive a 90-96 model right away. Then your decision will be made. As for safety that thing is a frigging tank. Good luck on your decision and I hope you make the RIQHT one. ;)

Can I ask a dumb question? what makes you think you might rollover in a G20? They're not known for being unsafe vehicles.

Well, I was curious about the 240sx's rollover safety (I just rolled a Chevy Blazer at 25 mph...never again will I own a compact SUV) and i found this account of a rollover: "Fast forward six months to the winter and voila!...Ice patch + rear-wheel drive = '89 Nissan 240SX upside-down in farmer's drainage ditch off PA State Road 35. In the cars defense, both my fiance and I evacuated the car without a scratch, bump, bruise, broken bone, or any other injury. The structural integrity of the car during the rollover was superb and the manual lap belt held both of us upside-down without allowing our heads to bump the roof. Amazingly, the power windows still worked, so we lowered(or is it 'raised' in an upside-down car) them and crawled out of the car into the mud and ice at the bottom of the ditch." This came from http://cartalk.cars.com/Survey....html

Hmm...Well before the "rollover" subject continues, let just get something straight.

You're getting the 300zx, right? :D

hmm , interesting , 240s are still int he running but the pickings are probably pretty slim since everyone buys them and thrashes them

if i find one ill give it a good look but i think id have a easier time locating a Q45a in unthrashed condition

240s would have my full attention if one in decent shape could be found , would like a autocross car , Q45a would work just as well tho
