Ok I'm really confused about what to do about my wheels and tires. I've done some research but get conflicting info. I plan on getting around 400 whp probably a little more and don't know what to get for the best traction. I currently have kyb agx's and an eibach prokit for my suspension and not sure if I'm going to get something different or not. My question is what tire/wheel sizing/type should I get for the best traction? I'm doing body work now and am not afraid to do flares, rolling, etc. I just want to get it done before I paint my car so I won't have to mess with it after its been painted. If it helps its probably going to be 85% daily driver 15% track. Any help is appreciated even if its just a link to something and thanks in advance.

EDIT: The car is an s13 btw

Well, w/ that much hp, you are gonna wanna run @ least 9/10's in the back w/ some decent sticky tires (i.e. no $20 tire crap). Think of the corvettes.

As a reference, my friend w/ a ka-t on his s14 will peel out if he floors it in 3rd gear w/ his 17x8 on ok tires. He's running close to 270-300 whp.

The sr20 guys have the same problem, but not as abruptly because they usually have a smoother curve for the most part (depending on turbo/setup of course).

Your suspension should be fine, depends on what you are doing @ the track & how good you are.

How much whp do you have? What width and offset wheels? Any fender work?

Sorry, I'm not much of a morning person. Thanks.

Are you really going to run that size?

i need to find the type of drugs that posses you to run a 355 series tire. seriously dude, you amaze me every time you get a new idea. it must be nice to have 50mm wide fenders on an s14. the possibilities are endless....
