If your using a greddy style manifold youll need something longer like the s14 cable.

i've got a greddy style intake in my s13 and im using the stock throttle cable with no problems, even have it running along the brake vacuum line then coming up along side the intake, not crossing over the engine

1/16" wire rope from Home Depot and throttle stops. Done.
