What would people recommend in terms of what things to do first?

Check out my build - http://www.nicoclub.com/staff/greg.shtml - I'd highly recommend a call to Ivan at AMS / Turbo 240, and start scouting local machine shops.

If they don't have access to a KA torque plate, move along.
