I'm on the way home from the gym at my school right, minding my busines. Well up ahead two cars ahead of me, somebody is trying and make a left turn. The guy ahead of my starts to make his pass around. Don't you know the old fart decsides* to slam on the brakes. So i hit the brakes too. The thing his when I hit my brakes, I heard a pop noise. IM like "****EN EXCELENT! I blew a tire!" rigth. No I didn't blow a tire...so what was that pop??? My deveolpment is coming up on the left, turn signal goes on and I start to make my...OH ****, the cars not turning! Well it is but it's impossible to turn! So I pull over and check the car. What the hell...the whole front left is like bottom out...well not completly, but the first two bottom coils are deffinently touching. So i get home and pop the hood. "JESUS AS IF THINGS COULDN'T GET WORSE!" I lost a freak'n belt and to top everything all off, I have a party to go to tommorrow and I have to get the drinks to night plus i got work AND my moms car is down. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

DAMN 240S! THIS SUCKS, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU.... HELL I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT WENT WRONG, IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT YOUR SPRING UNSEATED UNDERPRESSURE AND BY YOU TRYING TO TURN YOU OVER LOADED THE P/S PUMP AND IT KICKED THE BELT OFF (IF THATS THE BELT THAT CAME OFF).

I mean the shocks are KYB gas shocks and they are only like about 5 months old same wit the eibach pro kit springs. IF I HAVE TO GET NEW SPRINGS AND SHOCKS, I'm a just have to go to prison cuase I'm a kill somebody!

I still dont understand... how come you couldnt turn? I mean even if the power steering belt broke, you should still be able to mechanically turn the wheel- it would just be tougher to turn... and also wtf-- your springs came unseated? How the hell did that happen? Give us a pic if you can man... dang sorry to hear about all that...

Power steering sucks anyway... Mine had came with a leak that I haven't fixed yet, but I think I might just leave it that way. I could do without the squeaky steering wheel though.. but good luck with your situation..

*Update* The power steering belt broke. Rear brake system finally went out. Yeah fiznat I could still turn the car, it was just something that i had never experience b4.

before i cleaned my mafs i would put it in nutral and coast and have the car stall out so no PS, its fun especially when youre trying to turn into a gas station.
