I am listening to his piano playing right now. It's beautiful.

Yanni's stuff is interesting. While I don't necessarily dislike him, I really have to be in the mood for his music.

He jams, but after awhile you realize that his music is all very similar.

We have his "Live at the Acropolis", which is very impressive, but again, all too similar.

Or the Mystery Science Theater 3000 epsiode (Pod People I believe) where crow and Joe make a "New new age Yanni lick" on the Wall-o-keyboards.

Try playing one of his pieces without looking and see if you can figure out which one it is. A lot of fluff in his music and most of the pieces sound the same unfortunately.

There are way better "New Age" artists. Try listening to Enya, Jean-Michael Jarre, Mike Oldfield, many of Windham Hill Records label, etc. and you will find them superior to Yanni.
