When I bought my ka donor this shifter was on it. but its too short to be a short shifter so is it missing something? I'm confused. is it aftermarket or is it stock and I should just forget about it?

no way its a stock shifter..stock shifters are usually black or something.

it has to be an aftermarket cut down.

someone may have stripped the paint off it its stock. i took mine apart and cut it in half out of boredom a couple months back. i got a nice surprise when i found out that our shifters are actually 2 peices connected by a big rubber sleeve. melt that **** off anduse the bottom end. just thread it or weld a bolt on op and its supernice /threadjack

Seriously guys??

This is half of an aftermarket short shifter. The weighted portion screws on to this to add the needed length. It comes apart in two pieces so you can replace the plastic collar down at the bottom.

The eBay item you posted looks nothing like what OP posted.I think someone just cut the stock shifter in half and welded it.

Edit: Actually now that I look at it, the item you posted looks like it could be what OP posted, but who knows.

= Win Just find the other half of the shifter . Or, better idea, throw it in the trash and get a B&M

Yeah, thread doesn't look right for the shifter knob.
