Heres the deal i recently changed all my interior lights to red LEDS but for some reason i guess the are called reading lights when i switch it to the door setting they kinda light up a bit when the doors are closed. Even when i looked the car i stood outside staring into to window for like 15 minutes and they still didnt go completely off. And the only time they do go completely off is when i switch it to off. So im wondering is this normal or did i do something wrong and if i just leave it will it kill my LEDS or worse my BATTERY???

Its normal. LED's have a natural draw of electricity if a circuit is still completed. Like you said your switch will turn them off, because they are completely disconnected from the power source. They don't draw a lot of electricity. If you start your car everyday you should be ok.
