I own a 95 coup. And I LOVE it!!! don't get me wrong. I Like all 240sx but I love mine the best because for one simple reason.... it's mine! =). I prefer the body style of 95+...and that is MY OWN preference.

95 - 98 are the best. I like the s13 fastback... but they look too much like a Ford Probe... s13 coupes look good... but there is just something wrong with them.,... don't know why?

Personally i hate the look of coupes. They just don't look like a sports car to me, they seem so.... un-superior.

i like that better however i'd rather my car not be confused with a probe.....ugh i hurts just to say that.i don't really dig the one-via....make it a silvia and i like it....but a sileighty looks even better.....

now i don't wanna change the subject...well i don't know how much subject there is in "coupe love" i think all that can be said is said

WHICH HAS A STIFFER CHASIS.....COUPE OR FASTBACK??? WHICH IS BETTER FOR DRIFTING ETC.?

I've driven my cuz's coupe, it's not too bad, can't even tell the difference, once you're inside. Personally, I just like the look of the FB.

I bought my 91 Fastback 2 years ago and people always told me how much they loved it. Recently a guy that lives local bought a 91' Coupe in the same color and maybe my friends are just used to my car but they all say the coupe doesn't look nearly as good or sporty. The box rear end makes the car mistakable for a family coupe from a distance. This was improved in 95' because it's trunk had a much smoother and curved appearance. Anyone remember the old 200SX coupe? I still don't think it looks even remotely sporty.

Coupes rock! They are stiffer, lighter and have better rear visability. You can't fit as much in the trunk but, then again the Fastback really doesn't have loads of room. If you need more space then borrow moms minivan (btw I completely f-ing raped a ricey integra in my dad's Odessey...yay for fast vans:D ) As for those of you who whine about the coupe not looking sporty I have this. Go look at a R32 skyline or even the R33 and R34. Take a good look at the roofline. Now look at the 240 coupe. They match. The Silvia is like a baby Skyline.....you don't get that with the FB :sleep

P.S. I have a deep apreciation for all 240's

I think hatchback/coupe is purely personal taste. Both are attractive designs, and the stiffness and weight differences are so small, I doubt anyone on this BB would notice the difference, unless they put in some serious time at the track both driving both. Their handling are extremely close (I'm sure I'll be flamed now by 18year olds who believe they can feel the difference). As far as looking like a probe, yeah, the S-13 hatchback does, but it also resembles the old Porsche 924 too. There are advantages to both. I happen to like the loading versatility of the HB, and think it looks a sportier than the coupe.

Hey Good240, remember the early 200sx when they first came out?. Very sharp looking. I almost bought a first year one. I think Nissan ruined them when they did the face-lift.

Which early 200sx you talking about? The S12 or the S110?

I actually think the coupe looks better then the fastback. It looks too sexy with a Silvia front end.

Did anyone see the Feast S13 in SCC? Minus the wing, it looks too good, especially since its sportin the CA.

The S12 is before my time, so I don't know which one is the early one and which is the later one, but I really like the S12. I was considering one, but since my dad was fronting the money for a car, he wouldn't let me get anything old:mad: . It was gonna be a V6 S12, or another turbo Z31. But in the end it all worked out, gettin the S14.

Well, there is a hatch to compare to the S14, but its only in Japan and it looks pretty much the same as the S13 Hatch. : )

hey Bizz, outside the S-13 and S-14, I'm not familiar with the S codes. I'm talking about the early ones that had the boxier look, not the rounded ones that came out later. The boxy ones were attractive in their time, and like the 240sx, underpowered stock.

More pics of s12's than you really wanted to see http://200sx.computica.net/phpBB2/index.phpin the coffe shop see the post with the japanese pics. Takes a while to load.the only round 200sx were the FWD B's

I don't know about underpowered. the 3.0ltr's were ok but heavy, and the turbo's feel quick. 125 Hp 130 ft.lb 2590 lbs

the really old s-series look like thishttp://www.apexjapan.com/j_spo....html 1/2 way down the page. Btw that's not a misprint the japanese S12 got the 190 hp FJ mills.

Hey Bizz, thanks. The one I'm thinking of is not pictured. Definitely not the S12, that's the one with the phony hoodscoop I found unattractive. I'm thinking mid-late 70's hatchback. They didnt offer a 6 cyl when I looked to buy one. I remember Car and Driver had a special tuner issue on that model. I probably still have the issue, but it's hopelessy buried in my attic.

Coupe's rule! FBs are cool, but I prefer my '93 coupe. In a perfect world, i've have a 98 240 w/ a bomex kit, all black, SR20. *drool* someday . . .

They all look nice, so it's really just whatever you can afford/find.
