so i went to get my exhaust fixed today...i put a whole new exhaust system on except for the cat...and i put on a new intake manifold gasket....i put on a new distributor cap....and new spark plugs...but as i was leaving my car started to shake or tremor a bit around 55mph...so i am like what the hell....then it was getting to the point where i was not even accellerating....i would hit the gas and it would not accelerate so i would hit it harder then it would like kick in and i would fly then it would kick off again...and when i would sit at stoplights it would all but die in "drive" ...like it would dip very low in rpm's and the dash lights would dim....so i would have to puch it into nuetral and rev it.....then i got it back to my mechanic and he said that his guy may have messed up the O2 sensor when he replaced the intake manifold gasket.....i guess u have to take out the O2 sensor or somethgin to replace the gasket....so i left it with him and he said he would check it out in the morning..but do you guys have any ideas as to what it could be?ThanksJc:confused:

sounds like a vacuum leak. I seriously doubt it is the O2 sensor though

how the hel can you screw up an O2 sensor when changing the intake gasket? That's like blaming the dentist for an ingrown toenail. If that guy wants to buy you a new O2 sensor let him, then fix the vacuum leak that is likely causing the problem.;)
