I have posted before about when I got my engine there was a few unexpected things. I did mention that it did not have a turbo, this was not 100% correct. There was a turbo on the manifold, but it was completely shot. I had to buy another on as a result. Because of that, I never gave the old turbo a second look until last night.

Old turbo below, new on top which is a sr20 turbo.

This is next to a to4 compressor. ID on this compressor is 409080-5009(for sale by the way)

So i have noticed that this seems a little bigger that stock. So i found the plate on the turbo. Its hard to see but its 14411-05u20.

I did a Google.com search on the part number, and it turns out that its from a 1986 Skyline RB26dett, and the turbo is a TE270.

So I did some research on a TE270, and found a picture of a person selling one. They have it pictured at this link http://nv240sx.pnoise.com/foru...=6414 Now if you look at this picture vs what I have, mine looks alot different.

If you look at my picture of the compressor, mine is a .60a/r and his is a .48a/r.

Also the exhaust side looks different. Mine has .86 stamp on the turbine side. I assume that its .86a/r but I am not sure. But it does have a ceramic exhaust wheel.

Bottom line, is this turbo seems to be some kind of frankinstien turbo. I can find much more that what I have found. I did see something that you can use different compressors on that turbo and could make 350hp, but who knows.

That's a Gt28 it looks like. Or a s14 t28. Either way its a t28, with apparently a huge turbine housing. I'll bet that turbo screams! You should have it rebuilt with a proper metal turbine wheel.

1986 Skyline w/ RB26? Do you mean 1996?

Sounds like you have an RB26 T28 center housing with S14/S15 compressor and GTiR exhaust housing....with unknown turbine wheel (ceramic wheel to fit a .86 a/r?? = not nissan oem). Post a price if you're selling it!

SKYLINE 1986 2.6/6 G TE2701 466071-0002 14411-05U20

This is what I got off this link;http://www.turbomaster.info/en...ssan/

The turbine does not seem too big, I just noticed that I had no pics of that.

I have noticed that t28s have a 2 bolt compressor outlet, this has 3 bolts.

Can it be a stock GTi-R turbo? They are pretty big.

EDIT:

On the left: GT3071 WGOn the right: GTI-R t28 (euro spec).

After researching this for a while, I am thinking that it is a gtir t28 turbo, but with a skyline center section. Maybe a shop rebuilt this for someone and just used what they has around. But it all seems to point that way. No bolt holes on compressor like s13-s15 compressors do for AV, .86 turbine side.

Score.

Now it needs a rebuild.
