Ok, so I've have officially spent too much time trying to figure out how to get my temp gauge to work. I'm not worried about the tach, just the temp.

Car is a 93 240sx with a ECCS silvertop RB i believe.

I extended the wire off the dash plug and have tried it with both blue/black wires on the rb connectors near the ECU. no go. I cut the connector off a sohc harness and ran a wire back too. no go. Speedo works cluster lights work. Information lights work.

none of the info on the RB wire connectors matches my connectors. wtf. I'm straight up confused.

also, what version of the rb20 doesnt have rb20 on the upper timing cover.

I'm assuming this is a temp gauge in your 240 cluster, right?

The temp sensor wire is L/B (blue w/ black stripe) and runs from the temp sensor to the dash plug on the RB harness. First, check for connectivity between the RB dash plug and the temp sensor to make sure there aren't any breaks.

theoretically wouldnt it be the same to run a wire straight off of the sensor to the ka24de dash plug?
