240SX's are much lighter than Supras or even Skylines. The light weight over the rear end helps to get the car sideways.
There are many suspension characterstics that go into effect when drifting. Things like camber, akkerman, caster, toe, center of gravity, SCC's "dave point," spring rate, wheel offset, tire width, etc, are just a few of the things.
The cars that seem to be notoriously good at drifting are the Nissan S13, S14, and Toyota AE86 chassis. Some cars are set up to understeer too much to pull an excellent drift. FWD cars and AWD cars are examples. Drifts can be done, but they are harder to do.
Like another member suggested, watch Initial D to understand better about drifting. Admittingly it is just a cartoon, but it is the most realistic and informational cartoon series on driving you will *ever* see. You can find Initial D on DVD with English subtitles on Ebay. Stage I is the first season (26 episodes), Stage II is the second season (13 episodes), Stage III is the movie, Extra Stage is a side story off of Stage III, and Battle Stage is a recap of all the races throughout all the series. Watching Stage I, II, and III in order is a must. A highly recomended viewing
