alright guys, whats the definitive answer to this? i read that if you were buying a skyline for sanctioned racing only it was ok, just as long as it doesn't see the street. Then i see that that's illegal to depending upon who says it...

so whats the deal guys, if i want a r32 for strict track use, is that ok? or is the car not aloud in america at all?

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that it was allowed but only for sanctioned events and is only allowed in the country for like 30-45 days or something like that, but I don't remember for sure.

If you're serious I would check the NHTSA website as they have all the rules/regulations for importing.

A race car is a race car. You can not take a street car, and just call it a race car.

To import a car permanently as a race car, it needs to have a race history, and it needs to be raced in the US. Lots of guys talk about "track" cars, etc, there is NO SUCH THING as a track car. It does not exist. Not legally.

It does not change the fact that the car was imported illegally. You don't want to be the one with the hot potato when ICE comes looking for the car. If you are you get burned.
