i want to upgrade my turbo(t3.48/.42). but i'd rather not have to get my piping(2.5in) re-done. so what would be a good size turbo to go with? i'm also running a 5 bolt exh. if that helps.

You should be able to upgrade to a T3/T4 or GT32 as long they have the 5 bolt outlet. The bigger turbos will require modification to your IC hotpipe (but youre planning to upgrade anyway), but the downpipie shouldnt have to be touched as the T3/T4 hybrid and GT32 both use T3 style tubines.

2.5" is about as big as you need for your IC piping. How big is it now?

that's what i'm saying. i have 2.5, but i dont want to spend the money to upgrade all of the piping. i was hoping to go to a t3/t04e .63 hotside. i see a lot of guys are happy with those.

Well the bigger compressor means the outlet will be in a different place. A few guys have upgraded from a T3 to a T3/T4. I dont think the piping requires too much modification, but I have no experience...

It really depends on the piping set-up. It's possible you can get away with reclocking the T4 compressor but it really depends on how the piping is set-up.

the good thing is that i have a 90*(silicone) elbow conecting the outlet to the hot pipe. so if i could clock it in the same position, it'll be straight. i hope. i still have a bunch of crap to fix before i upgrade anything, but i rather know what i need in advance. i still haven't decided, but thanks for ur help guys. oh, what do i do about my a/c lines? they're very close to the compressor housing. i'm sure a bigger comp. will cause an issue.
